| I'm going to have to say that this book was a DNF for me. I didn't like it. *sigh* I was actually kind of excited to read this book! It was just like goat milk, sour and hard to swallow. I liked the beginning, sort of. It was a good start, it just kind of sucked towards the end of the first chapter. Either way, I tried to move on from it, but I still felt like I wasn't even close to being satisfied. I've got to be honest the MCs needed a lot of work. And I couldn't understand if Evie (who I didn I'm going to have to say that this book was a DNF for me. I didn't like it. *sigh* I was actually kind of excited to read this book! Either way, I tried to move on from it, but I still felt like I wasn't even close to being satisfied. I've got to be honest the MCs needed a lot of work. And I couldn't understand if Evie (who I didn't really like) was a lesbian or not. I also thought that the MC over exaggerated a lot. She could "see" that Brody (her best friend since kindergarten) was changing "more and more", yet she had only seen the guy three times since she's arrived. And I also thought she was unrealistic, annoying, whiney, and kind of stupid. I think that in the background she had a lot of potential of being a great character, I mean who doesn't love a nerd + bad boy love story. I think that Hunter was, a good character, if written in a different manner could've been great. So, basically the characters needed a whole lotta work. Actually, the book needed a lot of work. One thing that really caught my eye was that, the professor reacted to them talking, but didn't react to hunter slamming his hand on the desk??? Also I felt like the college setting was more of a high school setting. I'm in college and some of the scenes felt like stereotype HS not college. I also have to say that I hated the pet name. Leafy? That's not sexy, hot, or cute! One last thing...So I think that the author made me feel like I'm stupid sometimes. I think it was the way that she phrased her sentences. I can't remember the exact sentence, but it pretty much was the last straw. Oh! and don't even get me started on the...Brown nipple, through his shirt thing! I think the only thing I truly loved was the cover. Sorry... :(
But read it...I dare you...sort of.
